The Parish of St Elisabeth the New Martyr, Birkenhead, has launched an appeal to raise funds for the purchase of a building to serve as their new home. The Church of St Winefride is a redundant Anglican church that once served the Welsh-speaking Anglican community in Birkenhead. The parish is in need of larger and more visible premises for its services and mission, and needs to raise £100, 000 for the acquisition of the building.
